Ready for spring!!!

With March break day camp at Seguin in full swing this week, I am hopeful that spring will be around the corner. Old man winter has sent all of us many challenges with repeated thaw - freeze events that have kept our Public Works crews working to keep our roads safe and passable. As warm weather approaches, please keep children and pets away from the fast flowing rivers and shores. There is a lot of snow and ice to melt in the coming weeks.

The March 4th Council meeting received delegations from the Humphrey Curling Team and the Parry Sound Non Profit Housing Corporation. Council allocated $600 to the junior curling team as they head to the provincial championships in Gananoque, Council is very supportive of the work of the Non Profit Housing Corporation and has directed staff to help the organization find appropriate land for construction of homes in the Orrville area.

The Lake Rosseau North Association has taken on the task of organizing the Rosseau Regatta and giving it new life after several years of poor attendance. Council applauds their leadership and contributed $3000 toward the 2019 Family Regatta. Mark your calendars for Saturday July 27, 2019 and plan to attend and support the regatta and family fun day.

Our moose on the lawn is buried in over 110 cm. of Seguin snow!!
